Re-emergence

Show Details

The theme of the exhibition, Re-emergence, represents my journey toward positive transformation and embracing new beginnings. This body of work reflects the personal changes I’ve made, the challenges I’ve faced, and the growth that has shaped my path. Each piece symbolizes a moment of change, a step toward becoming a better version of myself.

In this exhibition, I explore the concept of re-emergence in both a literal and figurative sense—shedding old habits, embracing new perspectives, and reinventing parts of my life that once seemed stagnant. The artworks serve as visual metaphors for this process, illustrating the moments when something new begins to emerge from the old.

Through Re-emergence I aim to invite others to reflect on their own experiences of change. Change is not always easy, but it is essential for growth. My work is a celebration of the courage it takes to face uncertainty and the strength found in the act of transformation.

As I continue my journey, I am committed to embracing positive change and encouraging others to do the same. This exhibition is not just an artistic expression but a declaration of my commitment to evolving and re-emerging stronger than before.

    Trials and Experiments

My works are centred around the natural world and aims to explore human connections with nature. I am particularly interested in painting trees and flowers as they spark old memories of childhood, happiness and well-being. I would often visit gardens or forests, take pictures and recreate them through traditional mediums such as paintings or dry-point etchings.

These artworks are my current experiments. I am mainly using acrylic, watercolour & gouache paints, pens and ink to achieve a layering affect creating depth in my work which can reveal the past and present moments. My artistic language consists of celebrating the use of colour and compositions of lines and shapes. I am also experimenting with a new semi-abstract style to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.

My aim is to provoke thought and encourage my audience to recall happy moments in their life, a memory or place that makes them feel excited and inspired. This is my journey and memories through a semi-abstract approach.
